Our Office and Hours of Work

Our office address is:

8th Floor,
Chad House,
Sunderland Road,
Gateshead,
Tyne & Wear
NE8 3HY

Our hours of work are 8.30 - 5.30 on weekdays. We have an answerphone for out of hours contact where you can leave a message.

Who is responsible for your work?

We work in teams dependent on the nature of the work at hand. We have Solicitors, Barristers (Non Practicing), and experienced caseworkers dealing with our cases.

We have a specialist team dealing with Business Immigration work.

You will be told who is dealing with your work and who has responsibility for it.

Ultimately the three Partners of the Practice have responsibility for your work.

Correspondence

We are happy to correspond with you either by e mail or by post, whichever you prefer. If you do not specify a preference we will choose to correspond with you by way of e mail or fax and whilst we will use our best endeavours to try and ensure that correspondence is secure we cannot be held responsible for the security of documents sent by these methods.

In relation to documents sent to us we hold information digitally which means that we scan and shred incoming mail apart from important documents such as Certificates, passports etc. We will do this unless you particularly specify in writing that you do not want us to shred incoming documents.

Our Fees

We will agree fees with you at the start of the case and will set this out clearly in writing.

Wherever possible we will try and provide you with an estimate of the amount that your case will involve.

If we can be accurate, for instance in the more straightforward of cases ,we will endeavour to agree a fixed fee with you.

In other cases we will agree hourly charges with you and charges for letters/telephone calls.

We will set this out for you and agree it with you in advance.

In addition, we may need you to pay disbursements which are in addition to our professional charges. Disbursements are items that we have to pay for in pursuit of your case and vary dependent on the type of application you are making ,but again we will be able to set these out for you in advance.

We will only render a bill to you for work that we have done.

Where we have agreed hourly rates, we ordinarily provide an interim bill and will expect prompt settlement of this.

In the event that settlement is not prompt (within 7 days of the invoice being sent) we will NOT undertake any more work on your case until it is settled.

In the event that your case does not complete we will charge you for the work done up to that time or in the event of a fixed fee arrangement all of that fee.

All professional charges (and some disbursements)are liable to an extra 17.5% VAT
